MICHAEL MARQUEZ ARCHITECTS
This project consisted of a pair of concrete tilt-up buildings in
a new commercial development, just off the 14 Freeway, in
Santa Clarita, about 20 miles north of Los Angeles. The
project utilized a combination of standard tilt-up
construction methods, along with a mixture of custom entry
and store front elements to highlight the individual lease
spaces. The use of the individual entries not only developed
a unifying theme for the buildings, but also created a more
playful attitude in a rather serious business setting.
The project was an instant success for the Bernards Brother
Construction Company, in their continued development
business, with 100% of the buildings being leased prior to its
completion. A very proud moment for both Bernards and
MMA.
As a small added bonus for MMA, the building was used in
the Disney movie - Stick It - as our second adventure onto
celluloid. If you haven't already seen it yourself, make sure
your kids do.
