MICHAEL MARQUEZ ARCHITECTS
In December of 2007, MMA was asked to remodel an
existing 1951 house on Chaparal Street, adjacent to the
Archer School for Girls.
The existing linear design of the house, allowed us to create
two new wings along the sides and towards the rear of the
22,000 SF property. The West wing houses a new Kitchen,
Family Room and Bedroom, while the East wing contains the
two remodeled existing bedrooms and a completely new
Master Bedroom Suite. The focus of the new design is the
new inner courtyard, which the family intends to use for
their own weekend relaxation. The beautiful Southern
California weather will afford virtual year round enjoyment
of the space.
The preliminary 3D renderings shown here are courtesy of
the Architect and close friend, Kevan Lynd.
