MICHAEL MARQUEZ ARCHITECTS
The principal objective of this project was the integration of
a new second floor onto the existing main floor, while at the
same time creating a new two-story Great Room which
acted as a unifying element to both. Also included in the
redesigned, were the new Master Bedroom Suite and
Kitchen and Family Room which required a better
relationship with the backyard.
On analyzing the street elevation, the careful balance and
use of stone, steel, exterior plaster and glass helped further
unify the two floors and created a masterful
“Shindleresque” composition.
