The Lazy “L” Ranch Cabin is an amazing year round vacation
residence for a family from Los Angeles. The cabin is located
on a 5,000 acre working cattle ranch in Central California,
about 3 hours north of Los Angeles.
The house lies on the point of a ridge overlooking the
southern portion of the property. The road leading to the
house is directly to the south and the entry drive wraps
around the easterly edge of the house and eventually
approaches from the north. Panoramic views are afforded in
virtually every direction, providing breath taking views of
the surrounding San Jacinto Mountains.
The warm climate in the region allows for a seemless indoor
/ outdoor living experience. The extensive use of large
overhangs on the south and west sides of the house protect
the house from the harsh summer sun and at the same time
allow for comfortable outdoor living spaces. The traditional
rustic feel of the cabin is accented by the wealth of materials
from the surrounding terrain. Heavy wood timbers and
stone siding and walkways will be derived from the property
itself and create the greatest of natural settings.
