"Château de Belle Vernon" is the East coast residence of Jay
and Sherry Lustig and is located high atop a 35-acre private
rolling hills estate, adjacent to a championship golf course,
just outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
A quarter-mile long driveway delivers you to the main ridge and into an impressive Porto Cochere at the foot of the main entry. Once inside, the 32-foot high Entry Gallery welcomes you with natural light from the cupola high above and features a matching set of grand curving staircases. The hall presents the Living Room and Library on one side and the formal Dining Room with seating for 16, on the other.
As you proceed to the rear portion of the house, you find the enormous Family Room with a full-feature media wall and a walk behind bar with multiple television monitors. As a part owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates, they help Jay to keep abreast of all the other MLB games
The upper floor contains the 2,200 SF Master Bedroom Suite, three additional “Teen Suites” and a 1,100 SF Home Office, so Jay can stay in touch with his businesses in Los Angeles when he’s out of town.
Besides the usual outdoor features, such as the pool, spa, fountains and Gazebo, Jay also added a couple of other amenities. To stay on top of his golf game, Jay laid out three golf holes with two tee boxes for each and for his two boys he built his own “Field of Dreams”, a perfectly manicured baseball diamond with major league dimensions which plays host to numerous little league tournaments throughout the summer.
