MICHAEL MARQUEZ ARCHITECTS

The Peters Pavilion is a 5,000 SF facility design to complete a
family's property in Tarrytown, just west of downtown
Austin, TX.
The Pavilion rests on a third lot directly behind the existing
main house which sits on two lots to the east. A pair of
walkways flank the pool and connect the two structures,
intertwined with an arced water rill, including a decorative
fountain, a floating fire feature and delicate landscaping.
The Pavilion itself, is centered on a stunning 52' x 52'
entertainment space with 14' tall ceilings. This magnificent
space is brilliantly illuminated during the day by a series of
preciously located skylights and clerestory windows. The
space is half inside and half outside space and is separated by
series of disappearing 14' tall Fleetwood glass pocket doors.
One end of the indoor space is designed as an area to serve
food and the other end is a full service bar area. The seating
area outside is accented by a massive fireplace with a built-in
big-screen TV above.
To ensure the family is never short on entertainment, the
Pavilion also includes a billiard room, a media room with
over-sized lounge chairs arranged in stadium seating style
and a professional championship golf simulator.
