This is a traditional Spanish styled single-family residence in
Westwood, CA with a detached two-car garage in the rear of
the property with a Guest House above.
The challenge was to provide Anabel and Carlos and their two boys, with ample living space for their themselves and be able to entertain during their usual family gatherings.
A series of defined spaces were tied together by using a combination of calculated openings which resulted in plenty of comfortable opportunities for the all concerned parties. Each of the ground floor spaces opens to an outdoor area. An unusual front yard patio extended the Living and Dining Rooms and an expansive patio off the Family Room and Kitchen provided private outdoor space in the rear yard.
